Saree dress history
A saree dress is a traditional garment from the Indian subcontinent, commonly worn by women. It consists of a long strip of unstitched fabric, often decorated with elaborate patterns and designs, ranging from 4.5 to 8 meters in length.
The saree is usually wrapped around the waist, with one end draped over the shoulder, baring the midriff.
The saree is worn with fitted bodice commonly called a choli and a petticoat. It is known for its elegance and the sense of femininity it instills in the wearer.
